SUO #92 Pinks and Purples

Hi All,
Just rushing off to one of the many birthday parties planned for my birthday weekend! I will put the basic card recipe but not the blow by blow account of how I made this card. All materials and products are from stamping up, of course! Hope you don't mind! My hubby is taking me jewelry shopping before the party so I must get ready! So excited!

Stampsets: Betsy's Blossoms, Elements of Style & the sale a bration set from last year with the ferris wheel, bicycle etc...it had the wonderful scripted sentiment "Celebrate" in it but I have forgot the name of the set!

Inks: Perfect Plum, Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink

Paper: Blushing Bride on the edges using the finishing touch framelits & Rich Razzleberry for the frame around the sentiment and for the cute little butterfly. Pearls and butterfly punch are from stamping up. Stripe on the right side is from some SU dsp from maybe 3 or so years ago that I had around the house. Enjoy!

Happy Stampin~ Jenny G

SUO #89 No Layers!

Hi All,

Life has been busy but great! I haven't entered any SUO challenges lately but have been enjoying all the posts and all the cards. I am the executor for my dad's estate so I have been going through a lot of memories and a lot of paperwork. Feeling on the better side of it now so I made a clean and simple one layer card for this challenge. I used the flower from the retired " Elements of Style" Set  and I stamped it in the subtle colour Pretty in Pink. The "Thank You" sentiment is from another retired set called "Fresh Cuts" and is stamped in Always Artichoke. I then ran it through the big shot with the Needlepoint Border textured impressions folder. I love this card as it is simple, elegant and only one layer.

I have bought some new sets lately but I guess the retired sets reminded me of the times I spent talking about cards with my dad. Feeling so nostalgic these days.....I made him a fabulous Father's Day card one year with the "Open Sea" stamp set.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this simple and elegant card as much as I do!

Happy Stampin!
~
